The multi award-winning North Star Holiday Resort at Hastings Point is an idyllic, family-friendly destination located on the beautiful Tweed Coast, just 15 minutes south of Gold Coast Airport. Nestled between the pristine Hastings Point beach, national parks and a safe tidal estuary, North Star has a range accommodation including five star, fully self-contained luxury poolside spa villas and spacious family cabins, as well as caravan and camp sites, all set amidst 10 hectares of landscaped, tropical gardens.  
 
Whatever style of accommodation you choose at North Star, almost all activities for the kids are free, including the famous Sammy’s Adventure Lagoon waterpark, Neptune’s Castle Kids’ Club which is fully supervised on weekends and school holidays, tennis, games room, pool tables and outdoor playground. Seascape Leisure Centre, located onsite at North Star, is a luxury retreat for adults, with massages, beauty treatments, hairdressing salon, 25-metre lap pool, temperature-controlled spas, sauna and gym. 

North Star has its own fully licensed restaurant, Ripples Licensed Café. Spacious, family-friendly and affordable, Ripples is the perfect venue for a quick snack, a leisurely coffee or lunch or dinner indoors or al fresco.

There is an abundance of resort facilities including: games room with pool tables, air hockey, pinball machines, arcade games, library and TV (fees apply for some machines), a full size tennis court, camp kitchen with indoor barbecue and outdoor barbecue area with seating for up to 120 people, a fully fenced outdoor playground with climbing equipment and slides.

Neptune's Castle Kids Club
The kids will have the time of their lives in the gigantic, indoor play area at Neptune’s Castle. Designed for children aged 3-12 years, Neptune’s offers loads of fun, no matter what the weather. This fully supervised FREE kids club is available every weekend and daily during school holidays, at the scheduled session times. Neptune’s provides hours of holiday fun, with a three level spiral slide, ball pit, mirror maze, flying fox and themed activities, also arts and crafts. During off season, outside of kid’s club hours, Neptune’s Castle is available for kids under the supervision of their parents.

Sammy's Adventure Lagoon
Set amidst tropical surrounds, the two storey Aqua Play structure has four waterslides, 65 interactive water features. Kids will love the colourful maze of water slides and water cannons. The “Big Dripper”, a 600 litre bucket, fills with water from two giant 3D fibreglass fish and dumps a cascade into the play area of Sammy’s Adventure Lagoon every six minutes. Additionally, the Resort pool complex offers a high energy slide pool and wading pool for children, both of which are seasonally heated. There are also shaded areas around the pool where you can keep cool on summer days. The entire Resort swimming pool complex has been covered in a non-slip, rubberized ‘softfall’ floor covering which is comfortable and cool underfoot and, above all, child friendly. The slide pool opens from 7am to sunset every day.

Little Treasures
A fun and entertaining area for children aged up to 3 years. It features a colourful ocean mural, toys and climbing equipment specially designed for toddlers. This safe and comfortable, all weather area is open between 9am and 7pm daily.

Seascape Leisure Centre
Escape to the Seascape Leisure Centre for the ultimate in relaxation. Here, adults can enjoy some well deserved ‘time out’. Plan a visit while the kids are being entertained at Neptune’s Castle Kids Club, or after your morning walk or swim. Indulge in a relaxing massage, hair or beauty treatment, swim some laps or slip into a warm spa in the quiet, peaceful surrounds of Seascape. Open daily 8:00am to dusk with extended hours during peak times.

Marine Environment Museum
The Marine Centre has a large range of fascinating marine specimens on display and offers professional and insightful audio visual educational presentations for all the family. North Star’s onsite Marine Environment Field Study and Resource Centre is an educationally significant facility designed to tap into the essence of the ocean and its many wonders. This dedicated, state-of-the-art teaching centre is open once a week for guests of North Star. More opening times are available during school holidays.

Ripples Licensed Cafe
Located poolside, this spacious, family-friendly cafe is open 7 days a week. The perfect venue for a quick snack, a leisurely coffee or lunch or dinner with family and friends. Enjoy our daily buffet breakfast or one of our special theme night meals. Kids are always welcome at Ripples and will enjoy specifically designed menu with all their favourites. Ripples have a great selection of wine and beers, fresh local seafood and an ever changing array of culinary delights on the Ripples Specials boards.
